So much to be excited about with the house--first of all...the level of committment that JOhn & I have for each other. Yah, we may not be the most traditional & following the engagment, marriage, move in to first place, get a house, have a baby track... but we are doing what's right for the two of us. We know in our hearts that our lives are together and our future is bright and this house is a symbol of that. ANd... I'm sure there has got to be another form of commitment coming: his big joke has been that he will propose when he gets the ring out of the machine at walmart... well, 2 weeks ago we were at dinner at Hoss's & he put a quarter in the machine and got a ring LOL. He wouldn't give it to me...but I have a sneaking suspicion I will see that little plastic container again....
Anyway... here are some pics of the house:
Upstairs bath. The downstairs one definately needs work--it has no walls right now...haha. But, we will be enclosing it. I love the tiles in the shower on this--the chocolate brown is so cool. I found some great towels at Target...I have not bought anything yet--trying to hold off until when we are actually in the house

Master Bedroom - the color may seem "EEK" to some...but I love it... I think it creates such a warmth & "va-va-voom" atmosphere for our bedroom. Next step is finding some NEW furniture--specifically a sleigh bed and matching dressers. Neither of us have EVER had new furniture for ourselves and a bedroom suit is 2nd on the priority list (living room first).

Oh... I think this space sold the house to us...lol. We wanted a basement or at least a basement that could be finished with a bar / entertainment area. Well..this one has it! And John LOVES the light wood on the walls. We already have his Steeler stuff packed up & it's ready for display! Also, I get to put all our 'entertainment' fun type stuff there--like his guitar, our shotglasses, the Kiss album covers that are currently in our living room (LOL). Also will have a PSU wall and just be a leisure fun environment for entertaining.

The fireplace in the corner is staying--also makes a nice environment ;-)

OOOOOO YES!!! YES YES!!! MY VERY OWN KITCHEN!!!
The Dining Room (looking into Living Room on right, left archway leads to bedrooms).
Believe it or not...we love the color of the wall. The dining rom & living room are all hardwood.

Living Room. Yup... we like the color here to! We are planning to go get a new couch and loveseat as well as coffee table & 2 stands that we saw 2 weeks ago. The couches are chocolate brown, so the dark furniture will look great with these walls. We've already started discussions on how we will arange furniture...lol

THe back yard--will be very minimilist! Neither of us care for yard work or flower beds LOL Of course, I am a woman and reserve the right to change my mind... However, if anything I will probably go with some simple flower boxes.

Front view of house.. The window on the right is the master bedroom..to the left with the porch is the living room area.

Sooo excited... tonight I packed 2 boxes LOL. Now I realize I need newspapers for safely packing breakables and packing tape... I'm ready to box it all up now, load it & move in! I ran into our realtor at Weis tonight & she said she's pretty sure the current owners found a place to buy, so things should be working out for us!
Love to all!

what do you mean they have not found a house to buy yet.. if your signing papers to buy its to late for them to back out RIGHT?
That all sounds great... we'll have to plan a day to see each others houses. I just have to tell you that the tile in your upstairs bath looks exactly like the tile in our upstairs bath! How weird is that. We're doing things in tans and browns also! It's all so exciting... congrats to you guys!
