Loving Life

Wow...I just really was in a good mood today. Just one of those rare days when you recognize how great life is... that I have wonderful friends, an incredible man, a cooler-than-cool job, and love for it all. All this and it was a rainy icky day!! LOL

I went to a YMCA conference in Harrisburg yesterday--guess you could say that was the catalyst of the good mood. The program was on "career pathing"... not your typical expectation of "gonna go... they are goin to tell me what certs I need"... no... things are changing...for the better if you ask me. Gone are the days of Get this, get that, do this , do that & move to this position... the shift is long over due... the shift of self-reliance... of self-vision... of accountability that we are all missing. It was a great reminder to basically tell me to not whine and give myself the kick in the ass I need to see where I want to be, find out what I need to get there, and make it happen. all the while, helping others to do the same. Duh...makes sense doesn't it?
After the conference I got to go to dinner with a great friend...it's amazing the things you learn about people. I'm truly amazed at how much we discover each time we hang out...lol. And, the ride there is always an adventure...lmao... (sorry...little inside joke there... email me & I'll share more).

Today was another busy day at work...and it's going to be like that thru January. But, I'm up for it... I can handle it.

At least tomorrow is Friday.. John & I are taking my folks out for dinner to celebrate Mom's birthday (which is today by the way). Saturday we are making perogies with his folks, and may be going out with friends at night. Sunday should be a nice R&R day :-)...
