Reflecting

So, one of my projects for a WHILE now is taking all that "stuff" I've collected--like concert stubs, postcards, etc. from life and put them into a scrapbook. WEll, I've been makin excellent headway this last week--I took all the stuff and put it in the spare room, setup with a table and all my supplies. Today I spent at good 5 hours or so in the room going through old cards and cutting them to save the signatures and notes... ok, so I have Christmas cards going back to 1995!!!! Yes, it's insane...LOL. I have most of them cut & ready to be glued down...

At one point I was thinking "this is crazy...toss them".. but then I started going through them... and here's where the emotions start...

• Cards from those I'll never get cards from again... may they rest in peace.
• Cards from friends every single year... that means a bunch.
• Card and words from family and friends... notes with special meaning...
• As gross as this one sounds: Hair...lol... I used to tape my cards in my room... among the cards were a few short black hairs--undoubtably from Mo & Tiffany--two dogs who are resting in peace now and I still expect them to run through the house at Mom & Dad's...

So, for those of you that think I'm crazy...come sit with me & go through the books when they are done... the stories and memories there make it all worthwhile.
